I'll never forget working with you on integration issues at Redwood High School in Larkspur back in the '60's. I became a fan then and would often go to Sausalito to listen to you play. Wishing you wealth and health and hope to catch up with you soon! aka Sandy Allman

Just a fan dating back to the Bullitt days.
You are so talented and energetic to keep
on going.
Always Have loved the strings. My granddad
played cello in the Newport, RI mansions circa
1908 where he made an enormous $50/gig.
Now my son plays cello for Disney, etc.
Thanks, Nat, for your wonderful music.

I recently rewatched the movie Bullit. It took some digging but I found that your band was the one filmed in the coffee house. One of my favorite scenes in a favorite movie.
All the best to you.

check on you once in awhile. glad U till here. Nancy still in Asst Living. almost 8 years. I have prostate cancer but going to beat it. Gave up flamenco 4-5 years ago. playing jazz standards on Yamaha 340. saved my life. should have done it years ago. you look good, but then you're younger than I am. I just don't fry up half dozen eggs and a pound of bacon like we once did. "don't worry about me, I'll get along" Bill Evans drives me nuts. Was just telling Nancy's sister about the days with Pimentel and Jeannie, even Mary Stallings. That's what reminded me to check on you. Live long and well my friend.

Dear Nat, it was a great pleasure to hear and meet you in the "Starlight Room" in the Sir Francis Drake Hotel on thursday July 26th. I was there with Hanspeter, he introduced me as a Blues guitar player, remember? Thank you so much for this fine musical and personal experience, it was a perfect last night for me in USA. Hanspeter and his wife Beate will return to Remscheid/Germany today and there will surely be a lot to tell and remember.
Best regards, hope to meet hear you play again some time

I'm sorry this is such a cliche but I also arrived here through the Coffee Cantata/Bullitt links. It's a shame it's taken 40+ years and the invention of the internet to track you down -better late than never, I suppose. Needless to say I'm delighted to have found you and it's great that you are still going strong. The all too brief restaurant scene featuring Meridian West left as much of an impression on me as the car chase. I was just learning to play jazz (on flute) at the time and I found your performance just amazing. Now I hope it won't take me so long to catch a live performance. Best regards, John

Hi Nat

I met you in the 60's. I loved Meridian West at Runway 5. You dated my guardian Judith Buckley and came over to the house. You had the brightest smile I'd ever seen. You were my favorite of Judith's friends. I was thrilled to see you in Bullitt. You made a lifelong impression on a teenaged girl.

I never forgot you or your music. It is a joy to find you.

Warmest Regards,

Cynthia

FINALLY, after decades, I found the band from the best music scene in Bullit...and you! Great sound!..even those few moments reminds me of Leroy Vinegar, whom I got to hear a LOT in his later years, I sure miss dropping in to hear him at Pan's in Portland. Have not found your discography yet, but will search for it. I'm going to enjoy hearing the near lifetime of music you have done. I'm so happy to have finally made this connection! Good health and best wishes to you!

Hello Nat: I heard you on Desert Island this morning. I am a drummer/singer. I started out in NY playing with some great players in the 50s, and then went to Juilliard for 2 years. I stopped playing for many years. I started playing again about 12 years ago playing classical. I'm studying with Akira Tana and Nate Pruitt. For the past five years I've had a jazz group called pentimento jazz. We have two steady gigs, one on Sundays in Palo Alto. It only pays $65 apiece but it's a veI'mry nice restaurant and it includes dinner and bar. I'm playing with pianist Sue Crossman from
San Francisco. I was so impressed with your presentation that I wonder if you would consider playing with us? I know the bread is light, and I, of course, will
understand if you feel it's too far, or
not of interest. Sincerely, Mike
